WOOD is a PLA material with a wood admixture (20%) for a better product appearance. Your prints get the look of wooden products. Wood Filament for use in 3D printers is, like the classic Filament PLA, very firm and does not exclude chemical odor when printing. It is also a biodegradable material - made of renewable natural sources.
Material description: PLA, Polylactic acid, polylremic acid is a bioplastic from corn starch, with similar properties to oil made of oil. This plastic is much more gentle on nature than ABS. Wood material is soluble with tetrahydrofurene. In case of long -term exposure to acetone, the surface may be etched. The Wood press string is harmless and degradable in nature through controlled composting. If we compare it to ABS, we find that the strength of the material is higher, the material is better printable. Wood can be actively cool when printing and a heated pad is also required. The disadvantage is the lower temperature resistance and greater abrasiveness to the output nozzle. Very often it is necessary to slower print speed. Wood processing temperature is 190 - 220 ° C.
Surface treatment: The material cannot be easily grinded or drilled into the printing of the hole, as these activities cause heat that causes "pulling" fibers from prints. It is therefore advisable to cool the printout when grinding (eg you will be grinding it underwater. The material should be sprayed first with a filler (used in modeling) and then grind, spray again and over and over until the model is perfect for us and then spray it) .
