High quality print materials FIBER3D tags.
Description material: PLA, Polylactic acid, a bioplastic polylactic acid made from corn starch. This material has properties similar to those MATERIALS, which were made from crude oil. PLA and PLA SILK is much more environmentally friendly than eg. ABS. It can be dissolved by means of tetrahydrofuran. During prolonged exposure to acetone may cause etching of the surface. Filament PLA is harmless and is also degradable in nature controlled composting. In comparison to the ABS material strength higher, the material is preferably printable. The only disadvantage of this material is inferior heat resistance. PLA can be actively cooled when printing does not need a heating pad. Processing temperature PLA SILK is 190-210 ° C.
Finish PLA: material not easily wear down or put drill holes. It is due to the fact that grinding (the third), or drilling generates heat which causes a "pulling" the fibers of the print. It is therefore appropriate to cool copy (sanded and drilled under water, if necessary. It is advisable to spray the first filler used for modeling, and then sanded and sprayed again, and then again and again until the model for us, perfectly smooth and it eventually airbrush color).
Storage We recommend to ensure a dry environment. Under poor storage in humid conditions absorbs moisture, which is reflected in the press as bubbles on the surface. Keep away from heat.
The main advantages of the material PLA:
- small shrinkage during cooling-pad is not necessary or heated chamber
- good quality prints even when printing at high speed
- soluble in sodium hydroxide
- biodegradable material
