This print string is sensitive to temperature and changes its color from red (at cold) to white (warm) and back. The temperature at which changes is about 35 ° C. The effect is therefore evident even when the material is heated in the hands (this applies to raw filament and print). This effect is not permanent, after cooling the material turns pink again (red). The color changes the string almost immediately after warming up, back red gradually in about 20 seconds after cooling below 35 ° C.
This material is not suitable for outdoor use - not UV stable.
One of the most abundant materials is just ABS. It has many indisputable advantages, such as high heat resistance or resistance to some chemicals. Another advantage is the low weight of the printed objects.
models printed from ABS (acrylonitrilbutdienstyrene) are of course harmless to health, but potentially dangerous substances may be released during printing. Individual parts printed from ABS can be glued with solvent and polyacrylate adhesives.
ABS Tech Line are special technical filaments from Herz. The thermosensitive material has all the properties of the same as the classic ABS, except for a special sensitivity to a temperature, when at a higher temperature printed object (or even a filament before printed) and turns back to raspberry red when cooling back. The manufacturer mentions red, but the color shade corresponds to the illustration in the photo.
